Photo 21 - Julius Stands Guard in Nairobi

Julius was one of a few guards that protected my family while they lived in Nairobi. Having visited twice during their post there, I knew to always be on guard myself - aware of my surroundings, but I always felt safe(r) in the malls including the one that was attacked yesterday.

I cannot understand the tragic events that are happening in Nairobi right now. I've reached out to friends (ex-pats and Kenyans) who live there and some have lost family.... others still haven't heard from those presumed to be "trapped".

My heart is breaking.

I continue to pray for all of those impacted by this terrible attack. May there be resolve soon.
